PostHeaderIcon Review: Revlon Colorstay Lipstick

Do you remember your first Lippie?  My first lipstick back in 6th grade was a Revlon Colorstay, but I remember the an all black lipstick tube that was long and slim with a gold band around the center. I have absolutely no idea what the color was, all I know was it was dark burgundy/maroon, matte looking, and incredibly drying on my lips.  I know what you're thinking........Gangsta! I was just happy I had a lipstick let alone care about color choices. Fast forward all these years, I decided (for nostalgia reasons) to pick up another Revlon colorstay lipstick. This time around I picked Revlon Colorstay Lipstick in 360 Pink Indulgence. I would describe this as cool toned strawberry milkshake pink. The packing is nice because its slim and has a clear top so finding your lipstick color is a breeze. The lipstick goes on very sheer and creamy. The color is buildable and the drying time/setting time is slow compared to liquid long-lasting lipsticks. I layered on two layers and waited. The formula took a little over a minute to completely set.

Pros:
-Lasts for a few hours even after eating snacks and drinking
-For a long lasting lipstick, the formula is moisturizing.
-Nice packaging
-Can easily find where ever Revlon is sold

Cons:
-A tad expensive for a drugstore lipstick $9.99
-would look and feel better with a topcoat
-Not very pigmented took 2 layers

Its an ok lipstick and Ill probably use this at when Im too lazy to bring around a makeup bag for touch ups. I dont think I wouldnt repurchase this-I hardly wear long lasting lip products.

Revlon Colorstay lipstick grade=C

I miss my first lippie... it was Avon's Rasberry Ice (cool) and was a perfect match to my lips. They don't make it any more ;(

I've got a red one.. volcanic red I think? Anyway I use the topcoat from the L'Oreal Infallible compact thing on the top of the Revlon and it's sooo much more comfortable! If you have an infallible compact give it a try, it's a really good topcoat, adds some shine too.

Going to review my red one tomorrow hopefully!
